At D’art Duvar, we believe in enhancing stories through design and visual storytelling. Our ongoing collaboration with Cinema De Vlugt is a close, strategic partnership where we help shape the cinema’s visual identity and strengthen its position as a platform for world cinema, intercultural dialogue, and artistic exploration in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
Building a Consistent Visual Identity
As part of our work with Cinema De Vlugt, we were tasked with creating a consistent visual approach for their social media channels, particularly Instagram. This involved designing a clear visual line across all posts, aligning color, typography, and imagery, so that the cinema’s identity is immediately recognisable and coherent.
The result is a polished social media presence that reflects the values of Cinema De Vlugt while engaging audiences with clarity and consistency.

Brand Concept & Creative Kit: Mira Nair Film Program
Looking ahead, we have been commissioned to develop a full brand kit and creative concept for an upcoming thematic program dedicated to Mira Nair, a renowned transnational filmmaker.
Our role includes:

Developing a color palette and moodboard to reflect the tone and atmosphere of her films

Designing the main campaign poster, including print versions

Creating poster variants with and without dates/times for versatile use

Producing animated visuals for digital promotion
This program positions Cinema De Vlugt as a platform for cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, and artistic cinema—providing the visual identity that supports its mission and speaks to its audience.
D’art Duvar as a Creative Partner
Our role extends beyond design. We act as a strategic creative partner, ensuring visual consistency, branding, and storytelling align across all projects. Working closely with Cinema De Vlugt allows us to translate cinematic and cultural vision into a recognisable visual language.
Through this collaboration, we help the cinema strengthen its presence, both online and offline, while staying true to its mission of highlighting world cinema and intercultural storytelling.
